Monkey Business – The Future of Fashion

There is a very interesting article in The Independent on the latest collaboration of Nigo and italian luxury brand Fendi.
Nigo held an event for the brand in Tokyo all around Hip Hop. They question why an italian luxury brand would team up with a japanese streetwear label. They state some interesting ideas and come to the conclusion that the consumer is changing in the future and that we will be seeing much more of this. Apparently fashion and the consumer will change to where high fashion and streetwear mix. They go as far as saying that these kind of collaborations are the future and the mix of luxury and street are the future of fashion.
Definitely an interesting read and you can be sure that the products coming out of these collaboration will be very interesting. The collaboration between Nigo and Fendi is also stated to be open-ended!
