Orchard street and 530 medialab have announced that they will be launching www.orchardstreet.com version 2.1 on monday january 15th. They let out a sneak preview of it on the 12th of January. Additions to the site include a webstore, and an alernative nocturnal version of the site.
The webstore will be stocked with gear from there holiday/winter collection as well as web-sclusive product available when in the alternative site.
The alternative version of the site has many hidden “easter egg” like features that are engaged via latency. This site also displays black and white versions of many of their current designs. In general it is an entertaining experience, and an interesting and original take on web conceptualization.
