For the Fall 2007 collection, Vision Street Wear collaborated with artist Bernie Tostenson. Bernie was the guy who designed the 1982 Christian Hosoi “Rising Sun” skateboard for Sims (listed as one of “The Fifteen Most Coveted Skateboards Ever” by Transworld Skateboarding magazine). Here is a photo of some of the boards Bernie has designed:
The first two styles were inspired by Mexican folk art; the second style is called “El Rumble” and features a detailed sketch of people in a mosh pit; and the third style is called “Peace” and is covered in a ‘60s inspired psychedelic print.
An interesting project and sneakers with lots of details and meaning behind every design. Watch out for this later this year.
