The Penfield range has again expanded, this time by almost a third to cope with the
demand for its prestigious and highly credible outdoors apparel. Today we present you their Fall/Winter 2007/08 collection.
For AW 07/08 their Black Bear series is the most technical ever produced. The range incorporates Penfield’s Pen Tec three-layered technical fabric, which assures breathability, high wind and rain protection combined in durable and fashionable garments. Trailwear is a range consisting of pieces with an authentic Midwestern feel, including lumberjack check shirts in shower proof wool mixes, with pearlised buttons. This collection highlights Penfield’s heritage and even has a new take on their classic Outback that replaces the usual Teflon coated nylon raymar fabric with a plaid wool mix.
Penfield’s Classics range is exactly that – the classic Penfield duck down filled outerwear and timeless best sellers. Last years huge hit the DPM designed Downstroke camo is back but there are three new variations: A heat transfer of shiny black on matt background making for a midnight camo effect, a purple and black version and a royal blue and grey version that are all new twists on what has already become a design classic.
Schoeller 3XDry fabric – a multifunctional high-tech finish that repels moisture on the outside, transports moisture from the inside quickly outside, dries very fast and is less susceptible to soiling – is utilised for the first time in Penfield’s range. It’s used for a DPM 100% brushback cotton sweatshirt grey Hood and Crew making it breathable but also water resistant. The 3xDry process is a technical innovation and using it for these type of garments is a masterstroke.
Above you got the full run down on the new Penfield Fall/Winter 2007/08 collection. Since its collaborations with Stussy, DPM and Maharishi, the brand has been a lot in the talks again and quality was anyways never in question. For this coming Fall season they have some more exciting collaborations in the works, that we will report at a later point in time.
Now check out the F/W 07/08 range after the jump. Plan early which ones you want to get, as they will fly off the shelves for sure.
