Here a little note for the weekend, when you have too much time on your hand. The Pedal Mafia now launched Pedal iD, a little online interface that lets you design your own fixed gear bike. There are lots of different parts and colors to choose from, so that you can make it very personal.
Definitely fun and worth trying out, maybe even a source of inspiration before you go out to get yourself a real bike. Check it out here.
