1882 is a collective artists brand that spans continents and tells stories of Asian Americans lives. 1882 addresses topics from Asian Americans’ initial arrival at Angel Island to their current affair in the United States.
This artistic outlet acts as a voice for a group of people that have become an influential sector of American society.
Spring ‘08 collection was done by Eddie from Commune (The Birth, Barracks, ID) and Arnold from Greyone (Full Circle, 2 Of a Kind). Its theme revolves around birth of Asian American immigration pattern parellel with launching of the brand.
