Nike Sportswear – Air Force 1 Bird’s Nest

nike af1 birds nest - highsnobiety
Another impressive piece out of the new Nike Sportswear collection is the Air Force 1 Bird’s Nest.
Created in 1982, the Air Force 1 was the first basketball shoe to feature Nike Air technology in its inner sole. Marrying function with style, the Air Force 1 has gone on to become one of Nike’s most legendary shoes. It is the clean, timeless design that has created the devotees who have pined for the thousands of different customizations of the AF1. It has been called the sneaker head’s sneaker; the first and last word in basketball shoes. With a history that transcends culture, moving from the hardwood courts to asphalt playgrounds around the world, the integrity of the king stays solid through every enhancement. You’ll find the interior gloriously re-engineered in supple leather; smooth, rolled edges and flush seaming for superior comfort; and a polished deubré as a finishing touch.
The AF1 Bird’s Nest comes with an upper inspired by a Bird’s Nest, an extremely light and yet powerful construction out of nature. The new Beijing Olympic Stadium has as well taken its inspiration from the Bird’s Nest.
Yet another product to be looking out for!
