highsnobiety - mishka nyc summer '08 lookbook
Appropriately named A Summer In Abandon, Mishka’s newest seasonal collection consists of solid array of pieces perfect for the dog days of summer.   Hitting select retailers mid June, buyers can expect to find some new Mishka pieces certain to become instant classics beyond just the summer months.

One of the highlights of the summer collection, pulled from Mishka’s cut & sew offerings, are shorts in a variety of light and comfortable materials.  Available in a traditional chino cut, there are two main styles of cotton shorts including a modern take on seersucker and madras patterns.  For a sportier look, buyers can pick up the Gnash Tech Shorts, made from breathable micro-fiber material with adjustable waist and leg openings.
For the never nudes out there looking for some extra coverage, Mishka will be also be offering some summer appropriate pants options including the Alexei Raw Selvage Denim available in slate and indigo, and the Sergei Washed Denim in grey.
From classy button ups to wildly graphic tees, the summer collection delivers short-sleeved shirts for everyone. Topping the contemporary men’s trend for this season, buyers can bare their arms with the Dutchie Gingham Shirt, a seersucker cotton piece available in green or black, with snap buttons down the front.  For a more casual look, pair up the summer kit with any one of Mishka’s widely acclaimed graphic T-shirts guaranteed to crack a smile where you go.
For summer accessories, Mishka is releasing 6 new varieties of New Era caps from the traditional Bear Mop logo to the Mutiny hat in both black and blue seersucker material.   Make sure to also keep an eye out for the Brooklyn Keeps On Taking It New Era cap, destined to be an instant favourite among heads.
The Mishka Summer 2008 collection is currently shipping to select retailers and is now available online at www.mishkanyc.com in limited quantities.  It will also be available at the Mishka Pop Up shop  (located at 218 Bedford, Williamsburg).
