With the Presidential elections coming up in the US, The Hundreds will be releasing the “Fear Of A Barack Planet” t-shirts. Designed by artist Kenyon B., the graphic was inspired by Public Enemy’s “Fear Of A Black Planet”.
The t-shirt will be released this Saturday, September 27th, at both the Hundreds LA and The Hundreds SF.

Wow. What a surprise!? Another streetwear brand exploiting Obama for a quick buck. Get the money while you can cuz Streetwear is dead.
Nope, streetwear ain\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’t dead. People like you^^^ and me are still supporting streetwear by visiting websites such as highsnobiety, hypebeast, Slam x Hype, freshness mag which promote it and by making the effort to post something were attracting more lookers to see what we wrote.
Anyways back to the subject matter and on a note of politics, I just wanted to give a shout to all the far right republicans out there. Even if McCaine gets elected you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’re still not going to get what you want because McCain is a very liberal republican just pretending to take a more conservative side during the campaign to ensure he wins the votes of all you conservatives. Liberal is the future.
fu¢k obama and fu¢k all these so called “street” brands putting out propaganda.
there used to be a time when the “street” was about fighting the system and realizing no matter the political party the govt is fu¢ked.. do for self and stop promoting socialist bull$hit.
if anything Libertarianism is the future… not hypocritcal ass liberalism.
get a mind of your own and wake the fu¢k up.
Well I just had a nice lunch which involved no politics.
I think we know who the real winner is…
It\’s designs like this that distinguish who is a legit brand and who isn\’t. Take for example Obey. They donate all of their proceeds from the Obama tee to his campaign. Brands like above are capitalizing on Obama\’s likeness to make a quick buck and if they were so-called political, they would quit manufacturing overseas (and exploiting cheap labor) and manufacture domestic to further help keep the US economy
If you want to play the “fight the system card” and think that the government is F-ed in the head. Then you might as well just skip right over libertarianism and just go straight to supporting anarchy. And I don’t have a problem with that I actually use to be a punk, loved giving everyone a big FU, and thought the gov. was a hell hole. Fight it all you want but as you grow older you realize you’re never going to bring them down, Congress and CEOs will still be calling the shots. So unless you have an army behind you I’d say just give in, make a difference where you can and just vote.
Libertarianism- ideology that cherishes individual liberty and insists on minmal gov, promoting a free market economy, a noninterventionist foreign policy, and no regulation of economic, moral, or social life.
i am a caucasian male and my black girlfriend got me this shirt and im not sure whether or not to where it because i personally support obama but i cant tell if the message delivered on the shirt a positive or negative statement towards barack.
and btw if you have some ignorant statement to respond to this then dont waste your time ty!
I would not see this very negative, and cannot imagine The Hundreds wanting to take sides with the t-shirt.
well the thing is that i could imagine anyone who actually reads it while im wearing it will be thoroughy confused by the message being sent….like does it mean fear the imminent rule of barack obama or is it more aimed toward depicting obama is a god-like figure (or even linked to the rumor of him being the anti-christ) to be feared?
pretty confusing i guess it depends on your individual definition of the words used on the shirt what will determine your interpretation of the meaning of the phrase as a whole
