This is just bad use of words. I’ve kept mum about it in the past but i’m feeling hot today, so i thought I would share an opinion. You could have just went with “A reliable basic with added value for the winter months.”
@ Morgan: agree with you, I am not English mother tongue, so bad sentence structure like the one above sometimes happens!
