New Balance 850

Back in 1992, the New Balance 850 was state of the art. As a retro, there’s the melding of nostalgia and performance that comes with 1990s era retros. The colors (teal, pink, black and white) capture the period. As the good folks at Crooked note, the shoe is pretty spot on in reproduction. This, in of itself, is a triumph. We wonder if models like the 850, a great shoe, can manage to edge its way into the NB classics fold. The brand has 1980s nostalgia on lock. Can the 1990s prove equal in response from the punters? For those of us who ran and trained in New Balance during the time, the appeal is obvious.

More details of the New Balance 850 after the jump.
