Highsnobiety x Nike Sportswear Bespoke Air Force 1

nike af1 bespoke 21mercer 03 Highsnobiety x Nike Sportswear Bespoke Air Force 1

A couple of months ago we had the pleasure of testing out the new Nike Bespoke service, the appointment only service, that is currently only available at the Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer Flagship Store. A Nike designer guided us through the process of designing an Air Force 1. Plenty of materials, colors were at choice. We decided in the end to create an Air Force 1 that would look like a duck boot and we are more than happy with the outcome.

The process is certainly an experience and un-comparable to the regular Nike iD program. Already the fact that you are in the room touching all the materials and parts of the sneaker changes everything. Even though they have all the parts there, your design you can only see in the form of a printout after the session, so we did not really know what to expect.

The package arrived this week and we can say that this is without a doubt the highest quality Nike sneaker that we have ever had in our hands. Everything on the shoe comes in premium leathers, including the insole and the lining. Each sneaker comes in an individual dust bag and also with custom shoe trees.

Should you ever pass by the Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer store in NYC, make sure to check out the Bespoke service. It’s well worth it.

Now have a closer look at the Highsnobiety x Nike Bespoke Air Force 1 after the jump.

  1. i would love to get a shoe like that, unfortunately i don’t live in nyc =(

  2. topdolla:

dude, what was the cost of doing this? I am in NYC and NEEEED my own shoes

  3. Nice work guys. Now watch Nike release an AF1 with the same colorway.

  4. Oh yeah, for $820 I doubt many people are willing to drop that kind of $$$$$.

  5. these are so sick. trade you my coralines?

  6. @#$%:

Those actually were a nice concept but I’ll have to agree with g-roc in saying I wouldn’t be surprised to see nike make that a release to the public but not that I don’t like the idea but I think it would’ve been wild if this design were applied to a hi-top model then I’d be willin to drop dough on that and I haven’t been able to say that bout forces in a good two to three years

  7. Dezism Google me.:

Reminds me of a camel…. Hey the camel toe.

  8. remids me of the puma bespoke collection. nice rip nike^_^

  9. renesis:

Is this true bespoke where they measure your foot? For some reason I doubt it, although I think they should… The word bespoke so often gets misused, nice shoe.

  10. Thanks for all the kind words on these. To answer a couple of questions – we agree, it is still too expensive, since its not a true bespoke. Your foot is not being measured. But trust me when I say, we have never seen a Nike shoe of this quality. Is it worth the money? That each person has to answer for themselves.

  11. are they really fucking $850? if they are, then the answer is straight up. get fucking real. buy a pair regular air force ones and donate the other $700 to someone who really needs it. what the fuck?

  12. AF:

Totally agree w/ halfmonk. Nike overrates itself if it’s charging 850 for some AF1s.
They’re still making the shoes using a template if they’re not measuring your feet, so how could anyone possibly justify a 500% markup?
Nice shoes, but come on. For 850 you can probably design your own shoes from the ground up with whatever materials you want if you just go to a legit shoemaker.

  13. diesel:

dank lookin scheme on the shoe but over priced as most forces are. It would be nice to create ur own, and if nike does decide to put them on production for 150 or less ide buy em’.
