KRUNK in collaboration with Cuadro Fine Art Gallery is proud to present a historic three-man exhibition in Dubai, featuring original works by urban art pioneers Futura, Stash and Phil Frost. On the pulse of the contemporary art world, KRUNK/Cuadro will provide foreign markets in the Middle East and beyond a rare opportunity to view and purchase extraordinary new collections by these world-renowned Contemporary Urban Artists. The show will launched by Cuadro during Art Dubai, the U.A.E’s contemporary art fair, which in only its third year has become a leader in the global art scene. A Collectors Lunch on Tuesday, March 17th and an evening Preview Reception on Thursday, March 19 will open the exhibition, and it will remain on view to the public until June 17, 2009.

Some more previews of the upcoming Krunk Dubai Show follow after the jump.

  1. toast:

These aren’t previews of the upcoming show, these are images from the last show (one of which was painted on a wall and then painted over). Phil Frost is cool. Futura is hit or miss. Stash brings nothing original at all. No wonder he’s gotta go to the middle east to find someone who hasn’t seen a fat cap stencil.

  2. kings of oil:

word to toast… now US artists are selling art to those that took out new york. great job guys! let’s fill the palaces of oil royalty with cool grafitti art, yeah!

  3. kings of oil:

speaking of money.. its great to see HS embracing corporate culture with every square inch plastered in auto ads.. street wear is so real and cool… great job!

  4. at kings of oil: dude, we are in a financial crisis, gotta take what you get! Has nothing to do with street wear!

  5. the best way to undermine these fundamentalist fools in the middle east, especially the entrenched oil cartels, is to subvert their medieval cultural concepts. i\’m NOT talking about the bullshit insidiously promoted by war mongers like bush, cheney and their henchman or evangelical missionaries. i\’m talking about real american culture which throughout history has seeped into the consciousness of the world spreading the idea of true freedom to peeps who are thirsty for it. if it reached one head and fired his or her imagination then it\’s worth it. the virus has been transmitted.

  6. on the other point: if you\’re going to take some corporate money (which, by the way, is not a problem for me. i take their money when i can.) at least you did it tastefully. we live in a capitalist country. if you make a living without corporate money, that\’s awesome but not everyone can pull that off. i figure i\’ll take their money and use it to subvert that bullshit. deep cover guerrilla warfare, dawg.

    Right-O my Yankee chaps, right-o!
