The time has come, the Nike Air Yeezy will finally be released early next month, at least the first colorway. For months images have turned up from Kanye West performances and now you can soon get ready to get your pair. Complex has an exclusive look at the Nike Air Yeezy, not only giving us some great images of the actual production sneakers, but lots of images of prototypes, scatches and interviews with Kanye West and Mark Smith about the sneaker. Yeezys are insanely dapper.
These are not dapper. Dapper means smart. These are giant basketball shoes. That said, they’re not as bad as I’d expected, but as with all Kanye’s other stuff they have way too much shit on them. It takes a lot more design skill to simplify things while still keeping them interesting than it does to stick every fastening system in the world onto one shoe at the same time.
