3.1 Phillip Lim will soon be debuting their first footwear collection. Here we can give you a first look at their Meaden Sneakers. Inspired by the classic desert boot, the mid top sneaker comes with premium suede uppers in three colorways with side zipper. Similar to Common Projects, the sneaker still has its own identity and looks very solid. The sneaker comes out in July and will go for 275 USD. Via Men.Style.

  1. ClassicKicks:

This is really interesting. It seems the look this year is definitely the ‘chukka boot/sneaker’ look: everybody and his dog is coming out with a version of this look. I have interpretations of this style by Clarks, Momentum, and TST, and I see that it’s also being done by Common Projects. It seems like the first folks to do it were Vans with their chukka.

I’m afraid if this continues, the look is in danger of ‘jumping the shark’.

  2. I love the different versions of the Chukka available. This one seems especially luxurious.
