Thanks to an article that was recently published in the DSM paper, we get a look behind the scenes of the designing process of the Kanye West for Louis Vuitton Footwear collection. Kanye worked with Louis Vuitton designer Fabrizio Vitti on the collection. You get a nice look at the making of the sneakers, including drawings by Kanye. Images via KNOTORYUS.

No wonder they’re gross, he did the drawings while wearing sunglasses.
This is great….Should show him up for what we all suspect.
I design shoes.
And I can say the following :
I only wear my sunglasses at night NOT when designing, your designs will end up dark or rendered waaaaay to sickly sweet.
It\’s pretty hard to create a flowing line when drawing at 80 degrees (check him drawing on the board when its upright) and when holding the pencil as \’retardedly\’ as KW is.
I\’d like to see everyone here who owns a pair of sneaks do the following:
Throw some paper around on a desk. Draw on them or simply \’take your pencil for a walk\’ then put your fav sneaker on the table. Get a friend to take a few pics and hey Nike Presto – YOU designed them.
Fabrizio, you should hold your head in shame.
