Today we show you a little project that we worked on in the last couple of month – the Highsnobiety x New Era Empire Fitted Cap. In time for Bread & Butter Berlin we wanted to make a little give-away for friends & family and thus started talks with New Era. We wanted to do something different, as we are all aware that the regular 59fifty from New Era comes out weekly in so many new colorways and materials, it has gotten pretty hard to do something special. New Era was nice enough to let us work with the Empire Cap, a short brim cycling inspired cap, which to date is still exclusive to the Japanese market. We took the picnic theme and gave the entire cap a blue/white checker upper with other details kept tonal. There is only a small logo embroidery on the back, along with “THF BBB 2009″. THF is the airport code for Tempelhof, the location of this year’s Bread & Butter (BBB) tradeshow.
Don’t be surprised to see quite some people running around with the cap. During BBB we gave it out to friends that passed by our booth. A small assortment of caps is also available at the New Era flagship store in Berlin. Overall we made 144 caps. Next week we will be giving away a couple of caps over the site, so stay tuned for that. By the way, the New Era Empire Cap makes its official debut outside of Japan in a couple of months as well and we are sure it will become a popular style. Thanks again to New Era for working with us on this project!

hey – \’blue/white checker\
hey, we in the industry like to call ‘blue/white checker’ – gingham. it’s ok to call it gingham on a men’s site. btw, i can’t wait to grab one of these. sorry about the above mis-post.
Very nice and congrats!
Just what I need to complete my “how to dress like a five-year-old from the 1800s” look.
Gingham was big in the 1800s.. and still is. The classics never go out of style.
im a fashion student and i can appreciate doin somethin diferrent. but what the fuck
Probably shoulda worked with Kangol.
Or Still Life.
Just giving ya\’ll a heads up. The umpire fitted has already dropped in the U.S. Check out my friends at Soulfulcommandoe.com
Not officially though. Only late August is the official release.
Maybe we will work with Kangol in the future. We just kept it simple on this one, wanted to make a nice summer cap, little branding, that’s all.
Congrats

No hate. I think the look is classic, I just love what Kangol has done recently. Especially with Alife. Keep up the good work
