The 5th Column is a new NY/LA-based brand from Jason Calabretta and Anwar Carrots. Having worked with and designed for the likes of Rogue Status, Major DC and Black Scale, the two felt it was time to spread a new movement. Similar to their predecessors, 5th Column embraces a darker design aesthetic with a flea as their representative symbol. “The guerrilla fights the war of the flea, and his military enemy suffers the dog’s disadvantages: too much to defend; too small, ubiquitous, and agile an enemy to come to grips with.” Available later this summer at Kingsbury LA and other fine retailers.

Don’t see how this brand “needs work” when it is one of the few streetwear brands backed with strong substance and relevant themes. It carries purpose and in my opinion, that is one of the things most brands lack. It is a very strong line, keep up the solid work Anwar. Can’t wait to get mine.
