It is always great seeing a traditional brand making its moves and trying to keep up with the current trends. It does not always work out, but in some cases they choose to work with the right people, that understand the heritage and package it in new ways, while also being innovative. Barbour worked for Fall/Winter 2009 with Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida on a collection and we show you one of the jackets in detail today.
The designer was inspired by the archives of the brand and adds a more modern and contemporary style and look to it. The outcome is a classic Barbour jacket with technical innovation and details, that one otherwise is not used to see from the brand. Very interesting and we cannot wait to see the rest of the collection. The jacket is already available at colette.
Detailed images of the Barbour x Tokihito Yoshida Jacket follow after the jump.
