Vegas | Alife Public Naval Preview

Vegas | Alife Public Naval Preview

Here’s a look into one of Alife’s forthcoming sneakers that we found on display in Las Vegas. The Public Naval clearly takes cues from several popular sneaker silhouettes, but in true Alife fashion, we’re given a few noteworthy twists. Details such as a cork footbed and a large dip-dyed red heel section set these apart from the competition. Branding is kept to an all time minimum from this camp with nothing more than “AL1999″ seen across the side of each model. Two lace-less leather options looked great, while a blue houndstooth model with white leather laces is the more adventurous of the three. Check it out after the break. The Public Naval is set to arrive in Spring 2010.

More looks at the Alife Public Naval Preview as seen in Vegas after the jump.

  1. uhhkjhjk:

hey look..its crappy lookin common project knockoffs

  2. kevin:

why does everyone think all the new releases are Common Project knockoffs… even Common Projects knocked off theirs. The influence is obvious and its not coming from Common Projects.

  3. Totally agree – CP is not original, but still good footwear.

  4. NO:

    Kevin
Their offering a laceless Vans Era in premium fabrication with a damn serial number stamped near the heel…
    Are you kidding?

  5. NO:

What CP brought to the game was original… In that they took classic silhouettes, updated the last on them significantly (especially the toebox), kept the branding minimalistic (the serial number), used premium materials, did NOT volcanize the sole, etc… To such a degree that you knew it was a CP (and not anything else) from across the room.
You guys are nuts to think differently…

  6. Clumsy:

    alife is like china.
if u want to look at the o-type of these listless knock-offs than google for sperry x laceless.

  7. SPN:

{ NO } your a dick rider get from under the table and please go back to your cubicle
