Penfield has released their Fall/Winter 2009 collection. Some great classic silhouettes from the early 1970s and 1980s, such as the Rockford down insulated jacket and Kasson parka are updated with shiny aspect ripstop, melton fabric (pictured above) and waxy textures. Vintage inspired details are seen throughout the collection, with the Appalachian Trail and outdoor tradition being main inspirations. Navajo blanket fabric is seen on pockets and hoods, as well as on day packs and satchels. Plaid, leather and mini cord shoulder yokes are visible within the down insulated outerwear category.
