Arc’teryx created the Veilance Collection on questioning why the fusion of form and function is a mainstay in modern architecture and industrial design, but not in the clothes we wear as we work, live, and travel.
“Applying our expertise in performance design to the urban environment brings a new category in apparel based on aesthetic style, superior quality and extraordinary performance. We introduce Arc’teryx Veilance—products that advance personal freedom, allowing a seamless connection between individual, environs, and action.”
The debut collection includes a Field Jacket, Blazer, Long Coat, and several longsleeve layering pieces. The inaugural collection from Arc’teryx Veilance will be released on Monday October 12th, 2009 at The Hideout.

Field jacket is what’s up, but that price is steep for Arc’teryx.
Arcteryx is a very good quality brand with great shapes products but one thing is sure this stuff is not very groovy, lol
[...] Arc’teryx created the Veilance Collection this season to blend form and function in a deceptively simple-looking blend of charcoals, grey, and off-white. With performance in mind, Arc’teryx’s collection suits active wearers in a variety of environments–urban works just as well as the countryside. Their debut collection includes a multi-pocket jacket, a longer coat, a blazer, and long-sleeved shirts. These are the types of pieces that start sneaking into your wardrobe on a daily basis.
