XLARGE® Automatic Metal Watch

XLARGE® Automatic Metal Watch

Submariner homages aren’t exactly few-and-far between. Then again, it is one of the gold standards of watch silhouettes, so you can’t blame ‘em for wanting to recreate that timelessness. XLARGE® is the most recent up to bat, and keeps it simple with raw stainless steel and a black face. Water resistant 10 bar, Japanese movement. Available from November 20th, 2009 for ¥29,400. (Approx. $330 USD).

More looks at the XLARGE® Automatic Metal Watch after the click.

  1. dominick:

This is not the first time XLarge made a Subby replica. Still nice though. Kinda weird that the caseback is etched “XLarge Los Angeles” —cheers//dom

  3. Why would that be weird? The brand is from LA.

  4. dominick:

@ “Why would that be weird? The brand is from LA.” Well, the brand originated in NYC and are now primarily in Japan. I understand that LA might still be open, but XL is so about japan right now that a shout out to neither their past nor their future is puzzling. Their once really really great .com site is STILL under construction, so if xlarge.jp is their primary focus then -to me- the inscription should have been different.

  5. ian:

Automatic as in no batteries needed and automatic winding? $330 is a good deal then.

  6. I like my old X-Large automatic watch better:
