Here’s a look into a quality-oriented Japanese brand called Rootage. Created in 2004, the label bases their footwear around the concept of ‘onkochisin’ – “learning from the past in order to develop new skill and knowledge. Aware of the increasing trend amongst Japanese consumers to buy product made overseas, Rootage’s mission statement is to highlight the exceptional quality of Japanese factories.” Oki-Ni is the only stockist of these outside of Japan and they will be receiving three colors in the Latte model (pictured above) next week.
