As Dr. Martens approaches their 50th Anniversary, they continue to push the envelope of design and creativity by enlisting CFDA Award-winning designer Justin Giunta of Subversive Jewelry to create four pairs of one-of-a-kind boots. These creations of wearable art will be featured exclusively during Art Basel Miami at The Mondrian Hotel in Semi-Automatic, the high-end vending machine in the hotel’s lobby which is being curated by Interview magazine during the fair. Four one-of-a-kind pairs are priced starting at $1,400, during Art Basel Miami Beach, December 3 – 6, 2009.

I ran into Subversive Jewelry at the 2010 Capsule Show in NYC. I was really impressed with they eclectic and artist aspect of Justin’s designs. I especially like the boot accessories and can’t wait to try mine on!!
