With Nicolas Ghesquiere at the helm of French luxury brand Balenciaga, the brand has come back really strong in recent years. The mens collection has also been nicely developed over the last seasons. The sneaker line-up of Balenciaga has become more bold for Spring/Summer 2010 and consists of a couple of high top sneakers, featuring different premium materials and colors on the upper. In contrast to that they also offer tonal white leather high tops.
Take a look at the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2010 Sneaker line-up after the jump.

@DT
Alifes are made in Korea, and they’re actually nice shoes at a reasonable price (on sale). Most of these ‘designer sneakers’ are just toned down versions of the high-top dunk in different materials anyway. Italian sneakers are are hardly unique or new, with the exception of Pradas and Filas.
On Topic:
The white ones are cool but not nearly worth the price considering existence of common projects
@ DT : What the hell are you talkin about? These shoes are just a bad rendition of Alife Everybody’s silhouette, I don’t see how Alife is the knock off here…
I am not really sure Balenciaga is aware of Alife?
@DT,
you are right, ALIFE is mainly a knock-off brand when it comes to their sneakers, and this shoe above has its roots from the dunk, and possibly ALIFE.
But I believe Fila, at least in the 90’s was American designed, not Italian. I know for a fact the Grant Hills are designed by an American.

FYI:
First, Balenciaga Homme is designed by Christopher Booth actually, ex-assistant to Hedi Slimane at DH.
Second, shoes (including sneakers), are all designed by Pierre Hardy.
However, it is Ghesquière who gives the last word. But that’s it. He especially focuses on womenswear.
Beside, Balenciaga kicks are ITALIAN MADE, the best shoes manufacturers from allover the world!
There is also Limoge in France, where J.M. Weston comes from…
One last thing, Alife didn’t invented anything. They just revisited the original Keds, which was revisited decades ago by Vans (Off the Wall), and then, by many others. Then came out Alife.
