Today we came across the latest sculpture by artist Jason Freeny. He has worked on other anatomy characters before, but his version of Mickey Mouse is so far our favorite. Similar to the Dissected Companion series by Kaws, the artist split Mickey in half, showing the non-existing anatomy of the iconic character.

Great job! Freeny really does some good work with his dissection pieces. In my personal opinion I dont think Kaws, whom i am a fan of, can touch Freeny’s work. Granted Kaws pieces are mass produced and these are done by hand so attention to detail is not sacrificed.

i like freeny’s work, but KAWS gets more recognition because of the commercialization of his pieces.
