Converse gets together with retailer Aloha Rag for Spring 2011 on their all new Jack Purcell Zipper Hi.
“When we saw the sample of the JP Zipper Hi (under development at the time) we knew we had found our base. It’s a uniquely updated silhouette designed for the 75th anniversary of the Jack Purcell tennis shoe. A classic reinvented. This special version is inspired by New York, the big city of dreams. The ARNY JP Zip features an off white sole, blacked out Jack Purcell “smile” at the toe, crinkle patent leather mid, patterned buffalo leather outer, soft leather lined interior, embroidered skull/hearts logo, and brassed zipper, eyelets and heel spike. All of these elements create a versatile shoe, one that can be worn crispy or tattered, but will always be ready for what ever the city throws at it.”
With the official release sate set for February 26th 2011, Aloha Rag is taking pre-orders on the sneaker until December 31st, with a 15% on all pre-orders.
