Apple today previewed iOS 5, the latest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, and released a beta version to iOS Developer Program members.
The new version features over 200 new features for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch including: “Notification Center, an innovative way to easily view and manage notifications in one place without interruption; iMessage, a new messaging service that lets you easily send text messages, photos and videos between all iOS devices; and Newsstand, a new way to purchase and organize your newspaper and magazine subscriptions.”
Yes, iMessage is Apple’s answer to BlackBerry messenger. Big moves.

[...] Apple iOS 5 [...]
I’ll post exactly what I posted on another site: I stopped reading at \world’s most advanced mobile operating system\…how exactly? Nothing Apple has announced is innovative. New to iPhone yes, but not new.
— fatz, couldn’t agree more. IPhone is beautifully made and all but everyone is riding its nuts. It’s not the most advanced OS (no question). Innovative? From a business standpoint for sure. They only “innovate” when the market forces them too. All of these features have been around for years but they don’t add them so the gullible person will buy the next phone that comes out every year. It’s great for Apple profit but is exceptional cruel to their customers. One of iPhone 4’s innovations was spell check. Nfc? Been around a few years now. Icloud? Windows and android been doing it. Apple didn’t want to because they want you to spend money for that proprietary usb cable. These arguments fall on deaf ears I know. You can’t tell an Apple fan different. And most of them don’t know or want to know about technology so that’s cool I guess. They still want to use my rooted Evo as a free wireless hotspot though.
