About 30 minutes ago the first official Kanye West Fashion Show ended, being part of the official Paris Fashion Week schedule. Lots of rumors were circling around for months about the existence of the line, who West was working with for the collection and how it will actually look like.
The first surprise to many was the news, that it would be a women’s collection. As such, we will also leave a judgement of the looks to the pros. All we can say at this point, is that the amount of ‘important’ people from the fashion and entertainment industries that showed up to see the fashion show was rather impressive. From Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Terry Richardson, Lindsay Lohan, the Olsen twins, Jessica Michault, Dsquared 2 designers Dean and Dan and the list just goes on. All major fashion magazine editors (Vogue, The Love Magazine, Vogue Homme, etc) were also attending the show. Among the models you could find Chanel Iman and all shoes of the show were designed and produced by Guiseppe Zanotti, which is another impressive move by Kanye. We all know that the high fashion crowd will be a hard one to please, especially from an outsider.
We will not even try to judge Kanye’s attempt at fashion design and will leave you with these images to make up your own mind. We do respect though, that he gave it a shot and cannot wait to see what the next step in Kanye’s fashion career will be.
Many more images from the Kanye West Spring 2012 Womenswear Collection follow after the jump.

Not that bad. Not that it is bad of course.
i find this completly hilarious and sad. A – hes never created anything origional in his life. His entire production catalogue is sample based and lets not even speak of what he did to that otis redding track. So if he lacks the ability to create anything that can stand on its on why does anyone think his attempt at fashion would be any better ? The equivalent of his music to fashion would be if he took an alexander mcqueen creation added some beadwork and put his label on it but lets not give him any ideas. B – there are a lot of people with obviously more talent and are more deserving of some press than this guy. Its like swiss beat having some type of input with rebook. There is no track record of an origonal idea that translated into something substantial but after he completly destroys a brands image that has taken decades to create they might wise up.
Ps i just took a shit and it has better color palette than this line
pps i stared at a man in a coma in a hospital gown for the last week and it was more exciting than this
fyi somebody around him should have said somehting about the horrid v necks and somebody should be killed for that tan dress with slits and you cant wait to see his next attemp at fashion ??? where is the fashion in the first attempt and who would buy this line especially in the price point hes going for.

#4 – your post indicates A) that you know nothing about creativity. B) that you are a douchebag.
Inspiration built from influences. No artist or scientist creates on their own. They stand on the shoulder of giants to reach a little bit higher and make something of their own. Even the greatest of geniuses learn from someone else in order to develop their own style. Try reading a history book.

Have to agree with Silas#4 (except for the color of his shit maybe…!)
I m working in the fashion world( the real one, in Italy, and am french…) and I would pretend to know at least a little bit about fashion…so many young designer are looking for budget/press etc and have tones of talent, more than mister West (who I understood designed his own shoes some years ago, even at Vuitton….but is not able to design the range seen here????? how come????)
