Benny Gold presents a look into the final Velocity Deep-V collaboration. The 2tone rim features one side in Gold and the other in Black, with each rim boasting a gold colored aluminum card and custom sticker. The black section of the card is chemically etched into the metal and each card has the set number directly punched into the metal. Production is limited to 200 exclusive sets, 10 of which are now available from BennyGold.com.

Going a bit into a different direction, we show you one of our favorite upcoming toys – the Grace e-Motorbike. It might look like a futuristic version of a regular bike, but it is actually the world’s first e-motorbike that you are allowed to ride on the street. The bike comes with a patented aluminum frame and can go with one battery load (1 hours charging time) above 45 km/h for 40 kilometers. The bike is handmade in Germany, using eurofighter plane parts and formula one parts and will be coming out this month. The frame is basically indestructible and all controls are included in the handlebars, such as lights, battery management, alarm system and everything else one could need. The battery is integrated into the frame.

As you can see, an overall very impressive piece of machinery and with the rising popularity of e-bikes something to consider, if not the first one to really look great and perform at the same time. Enough talking now, you have to check out the Grace in action, only then you really get an idea of how much fun this thing will be. Check out the video here below.

Collaborating for the first time with fixed gear bike outfit Tokyo Fixed Gear, design boutique ilovedust created a custom track bike for the company’s soon to be open store in Soho, London. Working with the top-spec Figmo Stealth aluminum track frame (originally built for Louis Garneau), ilovedust applied an all over pattern to the frame and forks alongside pared down black components enunciating the track square geometry of the frame.

Yamaha’s Giggle scooter takes its design inspiration from the 60s and has been an instant hit. Now Yamaha has worked with design agency ilovedust, who added a town to country story to the Giggle, in the form of an all-over design. Making sure that you have the complete look, ilovedust also gave an open face Bell helmet their twist. So far there is no word on the release of the scooter, so if you are interested it is best to hit up ilovedust.

Cyclope, the epicenter of the Parisian track and fixed-gear scene, has joined forces with fellow French establishment Veja to create an exclusive sneaker made with ecological materials and adapted for fixed-gear cycling. The toe has been strengthened with a vegetable-tanned leather yoke, while the Wild Amazonian rubber sole receives a hard-wearing 25mm build. Comes in black/blue/turquoise as well as black/red/cormin. The collaboration trainers are limited to 384 pairs and will be released in January 2010.

Featuring a long tail to cover your behind, a Velcro-fastened rip-open chest pocket in a messenger bag friendly position, and a “hunting pocket” zippered into the back, this shirt promises to be a sturdy riding companion. In an interesting collaboration Pharrell Williams has once again worked with designer duo Domeau & Peres, with whom he has already worked on a series of chair sculptures. This time Pharrell also involved Brooklyn Machine Works and together they created a high end fixed gear bike. The bike comes in all yellow and features multiple premium leather applications. The bike is on display at the W Lounge, a special space announcing the upcoming W Hotel Paris. The bike comes in an edition of only 1.

Swedish footwear label Jim Rickey worked with Scandinavian bike makers Sson on a collaborative BMX cruiser. Having previously worked with Caliroots and Parra on custom cycles, Sson took their steel-framed 016 bike and outfitted it with gold and white Jim Rickey details. “Think of it as the biggest possible BMX that you have seen and one that will get you to the afterparty in no time at all. After the afterparty it’s the after afterparty somewhere, hosted by Jim Rickey.” Only 10 pieces were produced and will be sold starting October 15, 2009 through the top Jim Rickey shops in Europe and Asia.

For 2010 Mash SF once again worked with Cinelli on a bike. Benny Gold was again in charge of design and gave the bike an updated green look for the new year. The custom paint and frame stickers are meant to resemble the shape of the Mash lighting bolt and give the bike a feeling of speed. Cinelli will continue to offer the classic color as well as the new color option. The bike is being previewed at the Interbike show this week.

We get a detailed look at the new collaboration between adidas Originals and Kalavinka Bikes. Together they created a new version of the adidas Originals Samba. It comes in a premium white leather colorway with blue stripes and details, along with a multicolor stripe on the heel and a lace guard. Matching the sneaker they of course also produced a fixed gear bike.

With the Interbike tradeshow happening this week here is the first look at a two tone rim that Benny Gold worked on with Velocity. The collaborative rim are getting debuted at the tradeshow this week.He kept the rims classy but still unique to what is already available. They all come with a gold colored aluminum card and custom sticker. The black section of the card is chemically etched into the metal. Each card has the set number stamped directly into the metal.

Most of you should know by now the PK Ripper Fixed Gear Bike by SE Racing, that is the result of numerous collaborations of SE Racing and DC Shoes. Now The Standard hotels also get into the mix and received their very own PK Ripper bikes. Of the 1000 pieces of the PK Ripper, The Standard has customized 20 pieces to give it the New York look. 15 bikes will be at The Standard New York for the guests to use in the city and 5 are being sold through their online store, each priced at 1250 USD.

This season sees the launch of a brand new collaborative project between Charge bikes and menswear designer Jeff Griffin. Both urban innovators in their own worlds, the two brands have united to create a limited edition fixed gear bike, due for release in early September. The bike comes in a white/blue colorway and the Griffin touch is best demonstrated with the desert camouflage saddle. The Griffin X Charge collaboration bike will be launched at the Eurobike exhibition on the 31st August 2009. These 500 limited edition bikes will be immediately available from selected stockists. This season Carhartt got together with renowned bike brand WeThePeople to collaborate on a limited edition 24″ BMX Cruiser. Taking inspiration from the 80s, the frame of the bike is all the latest technology. The BMX Cruiser is delivered with many special features like: Original Skyway Tuff Wheels, Carhartt “BLVD” Grips, salt attachment parts, a 3-piece crank and a leather seat and tube pad. The clean white design in combination with the brown leather details came out really nice. The Cruiser is now available at all Carhartt Stores.

As you’re probably aware, LA-based The Hundreds worked together with SE Bikes on a 26″ PK Ripper. The bike features 6061 aluminum tubing, retro dropouts and a looptail rear end. Limited to 350 individually numbered pieces worldwide, the bike is printed with The Hundreds iconic “Jags” design. The Hundreds x SE Bikes 26″ PK Ripper is set to drop August 13th, 2009 at both THLA and THSF flagship stores as well as at select The Hundreds retailers worldwide. Iconic messenger bag label Chrome makes their footwear debut this Fall. Committed to using the best materials, hardware and design, a number of bike specific features were worked into the sneakers, including: a Propulsion Plate stiffener to support the midsole with a slam pad; Cordura laces with steel aglets; reflective heel patch; and a small lip at the toe to assist flipping into pedals. There’s not a lot of nonsense in Chrome’s gear, just materials and construction that serve a purpose and are built to last. The footwear collection consists of low, mid and hi-cut sneakers with an earthy, red accented color palette. Available early September at Open Bicycle.
