We recently showed you the XLarge x Yamaha TY-S motorcycle as part of the Japanese label’s President Label range, and now we present to you a special helmet that ties into the project. Toys McCoy hops on board to assist XLarge with this Buco helmet. The 60’s style helmet has a black base, matching visor, XLarge branding, and a black/white checkered stripe and a Buco logo. XLarge has teamed up with Yamaha on the TY-S motorcyclce. Part of the premium XLarge President range, the classic looking motorcyclce comes with various design elements by the clothing brand. The bike will go on display at the XLarge Harajuku store from February 3rd to February 17th and people will be able to enter a lottery, with the winners being able to purchase the bike.

When it comes to unique craftsmanship, the French seem hard to beat. Recently Louis Vuitton teamed up with polo bike players Hannes Hengst and Grégory Barbier to produce their very own LV Polo Bike.  The details of each part of the bike are very impressive.

“From the embossed leather pedal straps and mallet holders, to the machined chainring (by Victoire), etched barplugs, via the leather wheel cover, culminating with a spectacular hollowed out mallet head, attached to a fully wrapped shaft. All of it using the classic Vuitton patterns and shapes.”

Vans OTW teamed up with their advocate Dimitri Coste on this visually appealing Catalina Grand Prix lookbook and video. It’s easy to forget that California has this little island so close off of its Southern coast, but this cool project helps to serve as a reminder that it’s there and also home to this race, which actually just came off of a 52-year hiatus last year. Coste, who is an avid vintage motorcycle racing enthusiast, competed in the last race and while there, this lookbook and video was shot and filmed. A limited run of the lookbook is available at select OTW retailers worldwide.

After a helmet, here comes not the bike from the Bianchi by Gucci Collection. The bike features a black carbon fibre frame, as well as a black seat and handlebar, featuring the iconic diamond pattern. The Bianchi by Gucci logo is featured on the seat and the frame. Of course this Italian team-up does not come cheap – the bike is now available for 14′000 USD. But, not too bad, if you consider that they included a water bottle, headlights and a wheel reflector.

Ducati will be dropping their anticipated Streetfighter 848 from their naked sport bike family in North America come January 2012. This lovely design understandably won Ducati an award back in 2008 for ‘Most Beautiful Bike’ and this more accessible and user-friendly version should win over bike enthusiasts and casual fans alike. As far as available colors go, here is what we know:

The new fighter is dressed in red for Ducati traditionalists, while yellow makes a return for mid-range purists and “dark stealth” provides a matte-black reminder of the Streetfighter’s aggressive image.

This “How I Roll” 24-inch edition comes in two colors: black and light blue; and they will be made to order. High-end bicycle manufacturer Colnago have released a bicycle with fellow Italians, Ferrari. Together they’ve produced the CF8, that’s inspired by technologies developed by the car make. The CF8 has a carbon fibre frame which weighs just under seven kilograms and has a lamellar interior that provides superior steering precision. Other features include an electronic gear change activation, anatomical handlebars and carbon fiber wheels. The Colnago for Ferrari CF8 is a limited series of two hundred pieces available exclusively from Colnago.

SF bike crew Mash have announced their 2012 Cinelli Bolt framset:

“Enclosed is our third look for the Cinelli MASH Bolt series. This frameset marks the return of the original Bolt geometry— preferred by some of our long distance riders and racers for its more comfortable approach. Built with the same solid Columbus Airplane construction and finished with a tonal silver top coat. The graphic palette draws its inspiration from historical Cinelli colors brought forward onto a modern street racer.”

Ducati and Mercedes AMG have announced the Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition motorcycle, their first “co-inspired” model, combining distinctive styling features from both famous marques. Serving as the 2012 flagship model of the Diavel family, the sleek matte black bike is a tribute to the AMG luxury-sport brand with various AMG reference points such as the 5-spoke wheels and horizontally ribbed seat.

The bike will make its live debut at the 64th International Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany from 15-25 September.

Vandeyk has made it their mission to build the most beautiful hand-crafted bikes out there. They present their first collection, entitled ‘Nightstream’. Each collection is limited to only 25 bikes and not single one more.

Simplicity, craftsmanship and only the best components are at the core of the brand’s philosophy. That means that Chris King, Paul Components or Phil Wood are being exclusively used on Vandeyk bikes.

The paint design for the first collection “Nightstream” was created by artist Harry Seifert. Technically Nightstream is a Mountainbike with reduced and timeless technology, inspired by the golden times of Mountainbiking in the early 1990s

Taking the 3-time SIMA Award-winning boardshort to the next level, Hurley launched the Phantom 4D on June 15, 2011. Incorporating Nike Flywire technology, Phantom 4D has a first-of-its-kind “biomimic” waistband as well as patented Phantom construction featuring 4-way recycled superstretch fabric, water repellency and second-skin movement.
