Lance Armstrong called together some of todays most recognized artists to create custom designs for his Trek Madone roadbike. The bikes are part of the new “Stages” art campaign of the Livestrong foundation by Lance Armstrong.

Both Kaws and Barry McGree created custom designs of the Trek Madone. The Barry McGee bike will debut at the public anti-cancer ride in Hollywood today and then go on to be Lance’s bike in the Tour of California. The Kaws bike will first appear in the upcoming Milan-San Remo race. Both bikes were presented today in the Nike Montalban Theater space. Via Supertouch.

Bike company Aurumania has come out with their new Gold Bike Crystal Edition. Every visible part of the bike is 24k gold plated and the bike features 600 Swarovski crystals. Of course all other parts of the bike are only the best there is, including a Brooks saddle. The bike comes with a 10 year guarantee and is hand delivered worldwide.

With more bikes on the road, the bike of course also becomes a status symbol. If this is the right way to go, we doubt, but as usual one will also find buyers for this piece, which goes for an impressive 80′000 Euros.

Caliroots continues to celebrate their 5th anniversary. They got together with Sson, known for their cruiser/bmx hybrid bike. The bike comes limited to only 3 pieces with Caliroots branding and will be released exclusively at the Bread & Butter Fleamarket next week.

It seems like Benny Gold is up to some interesting projects for 2009. Judging from the images he is providing, the designer is working on a Benny Gold luggage line, new New Era caps, a bike and other interesting product. You can be sure that we will keep you posted as these come close to the release.

Today we got a first look at the Cannondale “Stealth” concept bike. Aside from the looks, the bike has a lot of impressive features, including a special new fork construction in all carbon fibre, as well as a monocoque carbon frame. The matt paint is just another point of attraction. Inspired by the Stealth fighter jet, the Cannondale bike is an impressive piece of sports equipment that we will hopefully soon see on the market.

Japan’s Pedalmafia has launched a great new product – Pedal ID. It lets you choose pretty much all parts of a fixed gear bike, which will then be created in a 1/9 scale model. There is lots of choice in terms of parts and colors and the outcome is definitely fun. Already before they offered a virtual tool to create a bike, but no product was involved. For the 1/9 scale models they got together with Yamamoto, one of Japan’s largest model toy makers.

Stussy Japan has uploaded a feature that has some great behind the scenes shots of the creation process in the Brooks factory of their upcoming Stussy collaboration saddle, that was designed by the Wilson Brothers.

Our friend Olivier pointed out the recently released Levi’s BMX video, featuring some of the most talented riders in the scene. The video is very strong and could be one of action sports best this year. Check it out!

A couple of weeks we first showed you the Stussy x Brooks Saddle, made by the Wilson Brothers for Stussy. Here is now a look at the final product. The saddle will be released in Japan on 8th of November. At this point we are not sure, when and if it will release outside of Japan. Let’s hope it does!
