Be prepared for a good mixture of Cali Love and southern hospitality as 10.Deep brings Fool’s Gold Record’s newest signee Donnis to the Golden State. This West Coast swing starts Oct 16th in LA with 10.Deep and Donnis flooding Fairfax’s fitted emporium Hall of Fame with music and beer. The performance will be followed by a swanky after-party at the Sofitel’s Stone Rose.
Oct 17th the event moves to the trolley tracked city of San Fran for a show and celebration at Milk Bar. All events will feature an all-star line-up of DJs and gift bags will be given out, also featuring the new 10.Deep x Donnis tee, that you see here above. The t-shirt will also be released on October 16th in the 10.Deep online store.

The Inoue Brothers worked with photographer Nicholas Taylor on an exclusive clothing range of discharge printed t-shirts, Lacoste polos, Ralph Lauren Polo sweats, Pendleton Woolen Mills shirts and Levi’s and Wrangler denim jackets all adorned with never before seen photos of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
“In New York 1970 musician and photographer Nicholas Taylor meets Jean-Michel Basquiat who invited Nicholas and Vincent Gallo to join his band band Gray. Andy Warhol calls them “possibly the best band on the planet”. Nick photographs Basquiat during their crazy years in NY…”
Each garment also has a written message originally drawn from Nick’s diary during his time with Basquiat. This collection is available exclusively at Dover Street Market from October 10th, 2009.

Europe’s most comprehensive sneaker event, Sneakerness, makes it’s Austrian debut in Vienna on October 10th, 2009. The exhibition includes a buy/sell/trade portion, art workshops, lacing schools, brand booths and a Nike iD studio as well as an appearance from Bobbito Garcia aka Kool Bob Love. Worth stopping by for any sneaker fan in the area. The event takes place this Saturday!

Force of Nature use the urn as a symbol for recognition of death as a part of life, and a reminder to enjoy and live our life while we have it. Last Friday, October 2nd 2009 FoN opened “The Urn Show” exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark where 15 Danish and international artists and designers decorated a traditional blank urn. The artists include Bigfoot, Andrew Schoultz and Henrik Vibskov (all pictured above) just to name a few. For a full list of artist and to bid on an urn vist Lauritz.com. All proceeds going to Drivkraeften a youth department of the Danish Cancer Treatment, with a focus on activities and contact amongst young people with cancer. Show runs until October 23, 2009.

The Hundreds commissioned artist Jun Cha to create a series of items paying tribute to five black and gray masters. Here’s a first look at some select pieces from the collection, including a New Eras, t-shirts, skate decks and a beanie each bearing Jun’s signature tattoo-based artwork. After the recently held Pigalle Tournament in Paris, the industry is once again getting together for a basketball tournament. This time teams including Nike Sportswear, Bread & Butter, Pain O Chokolat, BKRW, Wood Wood, Vans and others will be competing at the PX (Pigalle & XBerg) Tournament in Berlin. Berlin lost in Paris in the final and are eager to win back the trophy. Aside from the games there will also be some good food and three DJ’s providing music. The event takes place on Saturday, September 5th, and will guarantee some interesting matches.

To promote Contributor – a project co-founded by Mike Giles and Annie Lam that aims to serve the needs of disadvantaged city youth through skateboarding – Livestock Vancouver will host the official opening for “Smile On Your Brother” on Monday, August 24, 2009. The show features 60 hand crafted skateboards, based on the shape of the first ones to be mass produced, features designs by some of the world’s most renowned figures working within the skate and street art culture, including: Andy Jenkins, Parra, Don Pendleton, Cody Hudson, Chinatown Soccer Club, and many, many more. The art show will make its way across Canada, with all pieces being auctioned online up until October 25, 2009. Quiksilver is hosting an eight day skateboarding event at 201 Mulberry in NYC beginning Saturday, August 22nd. They’ve teamed up with Autumn NYC to present a pop-up mini-ramp and shop open to public everyday from 11AM-7PM. There are also three events over the course of the week, including an art show hosted by Alex Olson and a mini-ramp contest hosted by Jake Johnson. If you are anywhere near NYC you should definitely check it out. Quiksilver does it right with air conditioning and free admission. Runs from August 22nd through to August 29th.

The much anticipated mixtape of southern spitter Donnis will be hitting the web tomorrow. For the occasion 10. Deep is hosting a release party tomorrow night in Brooklyn and they have also collaborated with Donnis on a t-shirt that will release at the event.
