The iconic Panton chair by Verner Panton, comes in a new limited edition gold metallic mini version. Limited to only 500 pieces, the chair celebrates the opening of the Panton Chair exhibition at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. The chair comes in a 1/6th scale to the original.

To celebrate the release of their Standard fragrance in collaboration with Comme des Garcons, Artek has created the “10-Unit System” furniture concept together with Shigeru Ban. The furniture concept stands in the window of Dover Street Market in London.

FUCT’s latest release features photographs taken at the legendary east coast skate spot known as The Trench. “A drainage ditch that runs along the 378 freeway in Pa. My friends and I cleaned, cleared and started skating this spot in late 1981. It became the area hangout for delinquent teens and punks as well as the the breeding ground for some of the best skateboarders from Philly, NYC and N.J. … it represents 100% rebellion to leagues of skaters all over the east coast.” The t-shirts are printed with photos shot by Brian Plebani and Eric De Jesus circa 1983-86 and also feature quotes from Nietzsche and Ernest Hemingway. After the Bubble Chair collaboration by INSA and Rousseau, the artist and the brand got together once again to work this time on a lounge chair. The one piece lounger by Rousseau feature INSA’s signature colors and patterns and will be released in the coming weeks.

After an initial teaser a couple of months ago the Bape Camo Side Chair is finally about to be released. The iconic chair design comes in three Bape camo colors – green, blue and pink. The chair is a collaboration with Modernica and will come to Bape stores from September 4th. The green colorway is a Bape exclusive and the blue and pink are exclusive to Modernica.

Curated Mag caught wind of these larger-than-life fat cap chairs. “Graphic designer Sander van Heukelom has developed a new chair out of a his youthful fascination with and practice in graffiti. The fat cap chair is built in the vision of, yes, a spray can cap. Two styles are presented – one sits directly on the ground, while the other is perched on a base. Both are constructed from styrofoam with a protective coating. The project serves to draw attention to the detail of an often overlooked object. Learn more at capchaired.com.”

Constructed from sculpted forms of moulded plywood, the DCW chair was designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1946 to comfortably fit the body. These now iconic pieces of furniture have endured to become mid-century modern day classics.

ilovedust have sought to complement the chair’s aesthetic integrity with a tailor-made design drawing inspiration from the relationship between the designers. Based on a dialogue conducted between Ray and Charles during the unveiling of the chair on the Arlene Francis ‘Home’ show broadcast in 1956, each chair has a unique pattern pertaining to one of the designers. The chairs tell a his and hers story with different quotes from each designer and draw heavily on graphics of the time, producing an overall 1950s aesthetic and enhancing one of the most recognisable and prolific pieces of modern design. Each pattern was carefully applied by hand, making these exclusive classics a must-have one of a kind.

The design also runs across a limited edition set of green and blue printed cushions. As a final addition, a specially commissioned hand-screened print is available to buy.

Timothy Liles has produced a series of Shoestring Chairs for Converse. Entirely covered in Converse shoe laces, the outcome is interesting and resulting in different looks for each chair.

Fergus Purcell does not need much of an introduction. He has worked over the years with PAM, Paul Smith, Silas, Daft Punk and of course for his own label Tonite. Today we present you his special collaboration with Bored of Southsea. Together they created three deck chairs, which were produced by Southsea Deck Chairs, the quintessential deck chair producer in the UK. Matching the chairs they present a t-shirt in three colorways. The t-shirts are limited to 75 pieces.

Bored of Southsea will be releasing both the chairs and the t-shirts on August 1rst in store and online.

We get a first look at a sample chair that Bape has been working on with Case Study Shop in Japan. Their iconic Bape camo pattern was applied to the classic Eames chair, best known from Vitra. There are not many products out there that Bape has not worked on yet, and we definitely see them moving more into furniture in the future. Look out for a release very soon.
