We have seen it for the iPad and now it will soon also come out for the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch. The iCade Junior is an arcade style controller for the smaller Apple devices, including the iPhone 4. Looks fun, but you still need pretty small hands to work the device. Look out for an official release from Ion soon.

Sigma today announced the new Merrill series of digital cameras with the introduction of the DP1 Merrill and DP2 Merrill. The Merrill series is named in honor of Richard “Dick” Merrill, the co-creator of the Foveon X3 Direct Image Sensor technology that powers Sigma’s unique lineup of cameras.

“These upgraded, high resolution, fixed lens compact digital cameras now incorporate the same APS-C sized 46-megapixel X3 image sensor found in the company’s flagship SD1 SLR, now also known as the Sigma SD1 Merrill. This name change not only pays homage to Merrill, but it also reflects new production efficiencies that will result in a substantial reduction in the camera’s market price starting next month.

The Sigma DP1 Merrill and DP2 Merrill each boast exclusively-designed, high-performance telecentric fixed lenses. The DP1 Merrill features a wide, 19mm F2.8 lens, which is the equivalent to a 28mm lens on a 35mm SLR camera. The DP2 Merrill, however, offers a 30mm F2.8 lens, which is the equivalent to a 45mm lens on a 35mm camera. Both cameras are compact and lightweight, and feature Sigma’s own “F” Low Dispersion (FLD) glass, which performs like fluorite glass and significantly improves lens performance, as well as Super Multi Layer Coating to reduce flare and ghosting. With the 46-megapixel, full-color Foveon X3 Direct Image Sensor, the new DP cameras capture all primary RGB colors at each pixel location with three layers, which results in incredibly detailed images with a three-dimensional feel.”

It look as if Nikon’s latest high-end DSLR, the D800, will be releasing soon. Word has it, this new 36.3 megapixel CMOS sensor camera will be capable of 7360 x 4912 resolution images and also possessing the ability to create 1080p digital video. Olympus is bringing back the classic OM series. With an official preview still a couple of days away, we get an early look at the OM-D E-M5 digital camera. The micro four thirds camera will feature a 16 megapixel sensor, electronic viewfinder, one of the fastest autofocus systems on the market, and a weatherproof magnesium body. We love the look of the camera, which seems especially robust. How it performs, we will only find out once the first hands-on reviews are out.

First images of the upcoming Pentax K-01 camera, designed by Marc Newson, have leaked this week. But the camera does not only look cool, it also comes with the world’s thinnest interchangeable lens.

“This unifocal standard lens offers a focal length equivalent to 61mm in the 35mm format, and measures a mere 9.2 millimeters in length, making it the world’s thinnest interchangeable lens. Thanks to its super-thin design, it is highly portable and easy to store and carry. Its optics were designed based on those of the acclaimed smc PENTAX-DA 40mm F2.8 Limited lens. Its maximum aperture of F2.8 produces sharp, bright images in a wide range of applications, including snapshots, scenic photos, portraits, and even incident-light indoor shooting.”

PENTAX borrows a handy feature from DSLR cameras and applies it to this Optio VS20 point and shoot camera. This new little guy features a vertical shutter button, which will aid when it comes to taking steadier vertical photos. Other features include a 16MP sensor and a 20x optical zoom. This camera is set to drop in February of this year.

At the 2012 NAMM Show, Korg introduced their new Kaossilator 2, a palm-sized synthesizer that is played via a Kaoss x/y touchpad. The little guy is filled with 150 sounds, including Synth Leads, Basses, Acoustic Instruments, Chorded Sounds, SE, Drum Kits and Rhythm Patterns.

The Kaossilator 2 combines PCM drums, modeling synthesis and two crossfade-able Loop Recorder banks. The Kaossilator 2′s Dual Loop Recording Banks can overdub your touchpad performances as many times as you like. By adding layer upon layer to a simple phrase, you can create complex loops and then save them using the microSD data slot.

“Boasting a powered-up sound generator, kaossilator 2 delivers synth and drum sounds spanning a wide range of genres, plus dramatically expanded loop recording. kaossialtor 2 is packed with capabilities that can be enjoyed alone on or together with other people. Use two loops to create DJ-like mixes. Use the internal mic to record guitar, vocal, or other audio source — just as with a looper effect. The Organic Electroluminescent (OEL) display provides superb visibility. Add to that a touch slider for ease of use, microSD card data saving, plus a built-in speaker and mic. Holden Outerwear has announced a partnership with analog instant photography savior, The Impossible Project. Available next fall, the Holden x Impossible camera kit includes a customized and refurbished vintage SX-70 Polaroid camera, a Holden x Tanner Goods leather camera case, and custom Holden x Impossible instant film, all presented in a custom wooden box. There will also be a coinciding, traveling photo exhibit, showcasing images shot on Impossible film, as well as a series of t-shirts based on these photos.

Ten One Design took a great minimal approach in their design for this Magnus iPad Stand. This incredibly simple design makes use of magnets to keep your iPad standing upright. From a straight on look, the tablet appears to be suspended on its own, but when you check the side profile, you can see Magnus in action. Well, you can’t see the actual magnetism between to two objects, but you will see the iPad supported nicely. The product retails for $49.95 and are available at Ten One Design.

XLarge has teamed up with Yamaha on the TY-S motorcyclce. Part of the premium XLarge President range, the classic looking motorcyclce comes with various design elements by the clothing brand.
