Complex sat down with the Patta crew, while they were visiting NYC. Gee, Edson and Tim do not only give a nice history lesson on how Patta came about, but they also talk about what makes Patta Patta, about their 5th anniversary celebrations and most importantly what we will be seeing from them in the future. Some of you might have already heard it, Patta is about to open a new store in Amsterdam, uniting a Stussy flagship store with a strong line-up of Japanese brands. A while back we announced the new video series by Rickey Kim in collaboration with Levi Maestro, entitled The Process. First up in the series is a profile of Eddie Cruz (co-owner of Undefeated, Stussy LA and Supreme LA, in case you did not know). Juxtapoz magazine recently visited Shawn Stussy in his studio and talked about his past, as well as his future. Of course they also touched base on S/Double, his new label, which is about to release its first collection. It’s a very good read with lots of inside into Shawn Stussy’s creative process and also his take on his new brand. He notes that brands are out there too much these days and that he wants to find a new business model to give his brand time to grow at a pace that works for him.

After previously releasing three trailers for the upcoming “Where The Wild Things Are” movie by Spike Jonze, based on the book of Maurice Sendak, they have now released a nice Featurette. The short video features both Jonze and Sendak talking about the movie. It is very impressive seeing Maurice Sendak compliment Spike Jonze on the movie and even saying that it enhances his book. Anyways, just check it out and get ready for the movie release this Fall.

With the opening of the new Bape Store London, Dazed & Confused caught up with Nigo of A Bathing Ape. The most interesting announcement in the interview is the launch of the Mr. A Bathing Ape suit collection, that Nigo himself worked on for the past year. The suits will be released at United Arrows in Japan later this year. We will keep you posted!

After much speculation, it’s finally official. World renowned skater Eric Koston is now a member of the Nike Skateboarding team.

Eric had this to say:  “Not only am I psyched to be a part of the great group of guys that makes up the Nike SB team, but I’m equally as excited to work with them creatively. I’m sure many people know that a lot of different Nike’s have been the inspiration for my shoe designs over the last 12 years, so I feel like a fucking kid in a candy store when it comes to this partnership between Nike and I.”

Safe to say, we’re extremely excited to see what comes of this. Nike SB has already released an Eric Koston signature t-shirt in an LA Lakers colorway. Have a look after the jump.
