Wieden+Kennedy are accepting applications to join their next class at WK12. WK12 is the experimental advertising school housed at Wieden+Kennedy’s Portland office. Students work together (12 strangers working together, a bit like the Real World) on client driven projects and individually on their own art, music, movies and writing. It’s an education in problem solving… as well as one entry point to being the next big Nike ad man.

Applications are due on January 30, 2009.

Captured, the film that chronicles Clayton Patterson’s astute archiving of life on New York’s Lower East Side, gets its European debut this week. First screening on January 3 at Berlin’s Babylon Theater, the documentary will get additional playings on both the 7th and 22nd. No word yet on if other European cities will follow suit, but there’s little doubt showings will become more frequent.

Today the announcement came in that Diddy bought Enyce from Liz Claiborne. Liz Claiborne had bought the brand in 2003 for 114 Mio. USD and Diddy bought it now for 20 Mio. USD, which seems like it was a good deal. It will be interesting seeing how the brand changes in the next couple of months, as it has been a while since it was regarded cool. Hopefully he did not buy into a dead market! Check out Diddy’s statement about the move here above!
