Today we take a closer look at the much talked about Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip. The Nike Lunar outer sole has become very popular over the last year and we all know what has happened with the classic Wingtip Brogue ever since the heritage trend really hit us. Putting the two together seems like the right next thing to do.

Our opinions are split on t he shoe. Never having been a big fan of hybrids, we do understand the thinking and even the ideas behind the new silhouette – offering a classic, yet comfortable, shoe with a nice twist. Only time will tell how successful the shoe will end up being. Cole Haan being owned by Nike, it is interesting seeing their sharing of technology across the board. We have seen it with AIR before and now Lunar is next.

Priced at 248 USD, the Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip shoe will come in overall 5 colorways, exclusively at the Cole Haan New York store from February 10th, 2012.

One of the most popular boots from visvim comes back for Spring/Summer 2012. The Grizzly Boots Mid-Folk return in overall 4 colorways, mixing suede, leather and canvas. As usual the turn-out is impressive and very unique. Look out for the boots at visvim FIL stores from this weekend.

NEXUSVII is offering some splendid footwear with these officer shoes done in collaboration with George Cox. Two very distinct versions of the shoes have dropped each featuring high quality leather construction and unique design details. One is a pebbled leather in black, while the other is a smoothed out version in brown with a black cap toe. Both versions feature a pointed star at the toe, too. These are available at NEXUSVII stores.

Dr. Martens has released their Spring/Summer 2012 collection and here is a look at some of the highlights from it. A really broad range is offered in both lows and highs. Highlights for us include the 1461 low in tonal red, purple and black, as well as some of the more polished styles like the Chester and Caine. Take a look for yourself, but also check the video below from Dr. Martens’ campaign for this season.

From the new Undercover Spring/Summer 2012 Collection we present the ‘Fuck The Past, Fuck The Future’ lace-up shoes. Overall a rather simple and classic leather lace-up, the Japanese brand infuses their own personal twist with embroideries on the upper. The shoes come in black and dark navy and are now available from Undercover.

SOPHNET recently offered up a brief glimpse of their Spring/Summer 2012 collection with a video that we showed you here very recently. Images from the collection are starting to surface, including some of these Danner Postman Shoes. A traditional black pair will be available, in addition to a sporty looking navy color that is highlighted by a brown leather lining, contrasting white stitching and matching white sole. Looking sharp!

Mark McNairy has certainly made the rounds when it comes to collaborations. The highly in demand designer appears to have added New Era to that extensive list of footwear partners as images of these Derby shoes with the cap maker’s logo from Pitti Uomo have hit the web. Hopefully more news regarding these shoes circulates soon. For now, check the pics.

The popular visvim Patrician WT Folk shoe returns with the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Featuring an Italian vegetable tanned lama hide upper, the hand painted finish of the shoe is certainly the stand-out feature. Coming in overall 4 colorways this season, these should be coming to retailers any day now.

Earlier, we showed you a very nice 5 hole deck shoe from hobo for Spring/Summer 2012, but the brand has a few more tricks up their sleeves with a couple of other great styles from Caminando. The two have worked together in the past and the result was on point, as it is here. Although both are very nice, the Straight Tip Rubber shoes in black and brown leather definitely are the prize here.

From Pitti, here is a nice look at Mark McNairy’s Autumn/Winter 2012 footwear collection. Always one for unique design details, McNairy continues to tinker with the shoe’s sole (McNairy fans surely remember the “Fuck Off” soles we have shown you in the past) unit with the addition of a “Smiley Face.” We also see more camo infused offerings in the mix, tri-toned brogue boots and other great stuff.
