Nike AF1 – Berlin City Series

18 April 2007, 12.55 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

RTEmagicC nikeaf1 berlin 1 01.jpg Nike AF1 Berlin City Series
Here we have now a first preview of the Nike Air Force 1 Berlin City Series via Sneaker Freaker. The Berlin City Series also consists of 3 models, two AF1 Lo’s, one AF1 Mid and the inspiration of the series design wise comes according to Hikmet from Solebox, from the American Allies during WWII.
“But in my opinion, the main thing are the insoles which carry the story. The parachute heart reminds me of the Berlin Air-Lift, when the Allies supplied Berlin with food over the air. The insoles are inspired by the different Brigades based in Berlin, and they are looking like Army badges.”
It is nice to see so much inspiration and influence going into some sneakers. With a close eye you can read a lot from this pack. Check out all three models now after the jump.

Here you see now the other two styles that will be dropping. The other two come with the same customizations and details, just in different colorways and just like the first one – the colorways are pretty special and unseen on other AF1’s before. Via ALTSNK.

RTEmagicC nike glide 01.jpg The Nike Glide
Here a new sneaker/slip-on shoe by Nike – the Glide. Looking like a fusion of the Cortez and a classic house shoe, the Glide does look a little strange at first. It is now arriving in stores and has already landed at Tradition.

Puma x McQueen S/S 07 Collection

17 April 2007, 18.07 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

RTEmagicC puma mcq ss07 8.jpg Puma x McQueen S/S 07 Collection
When it comes to bringing sneakers and high fashion designers together Puma is certainly the company to point out. One of their collections is done in collaboration with Alexander McQueen since a couple of seasons. It is always interesting to see what new ways these fashion designers find to re-interpretate classics and new ways of applying a logo that one has seen already a million times, but now again seems fresh and new.
The new Puma x McQueen Spring/Summer 2007 collection shows exactly that and one spots some interesting details on most sneakers. Overall we would say though, that they kept it a little too simple and make at a first look the collection not seem very special. One has to look very close to find the influence of McQueen, maybe a little too close. But it’s nevertheless a solid collection, that will also find its followers.
Check out all the new styles after the jump (we only show one colorway, but they each come in several).

Especially the lavender and the beige colorway are new and interesting ones for the new Spring/Summer season. Watch out for these to land in stores soon!

RTEmagicC kswiss tron 01.jpg K Swiss Cybertron
Sneaker Freaker reports about these new Kswiss Cybertron sneakers. Clearly taking reference of the movie, the sneaker feature flashy colors, neon colors and some nice materials. Overall pretty extreme execution and thus only a small group of people these will speak to, but it’s nice seeing Kswiss being a bit more risky with their designs lately.
