Kanye West and Jay-Z are keeping it interesting. After the digital release earlier this week, they are opening a pop-up store space in New York’s Soho district for the physical album release today. Located at 201 Mulberry Street in NYC, the store front is wrapped in the same gold graphics that Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci had already produced for the album cover. Inside the retail space you will find the Maybach that you saw in the ‘Otis’ video, on display. Apparently the store will stay open until Sunday and rumors are circulating, that Hov might actually make an appearance there tonight.

The New Wood Wood Copenhagen Store

After years of concentrating on international retail expansion, opening stores in Berlin, Vienna and another shop in Denmark, Wood Wood has come back to their home turf.

Yesterday the Danish brand presented their all new store in Copenhagen to the public. A wide spread space, overall kept very clean, yet divided into different spaces, allowing them to present the various brands, brand categories better than ever before. From dedicated cosmetics and sneaker spaces, to a pop-up corner by Paris brand The Cool Cats, the new Wood Wood store holds a lot of surprises for its fans and clients. Overall a fantastic upgrade and only worthy of the great brands that the store carries.

Supra NYC Store - A Look Inside

The practice of lining up for shoes outside the store on the sidewalk in the wee hours of the morning hasn’t occurred in some time, but it was alive and well at the opening of the brand new SUPRA NYC store located at 4 Prince St. in the heart of SoHo. People started camping out shortly after 3 a.m. the night before and, by opening, the line of SUPRA fans stretched all the way down the block. The store marks the first move of the fast growing footwear brand into retail, with a Paris store having opened the same week. At opening, they released a special New York City Vaider sneaker, which we already presented here.

Nike Bowery Stadium 'The Wave'-01

Last Friday the Nike Bowery Stadium in New York unveiled “The Wave”, a surf/skate installation based around their summer ‘Just Do It’ action sports campaign.

The retail component of Stadium reflects surf and skate culture featuring a curated selection of Nike action products. Stadium MFG offers the opportunity to customize core products from the Nike Range, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, board shorts and other apparel. Collections of skate and surf stickers are displayed to provide inspiration and share the history of East Coast surf/skate culture.

Throughout the ‘Just Do It’ summer season, Stadium will host special programming including lectures, live musical performances, film screenings, product launches, and mentoring workshops. Weekly film showings will balance classic surf and skate movies with Nike team flicks.

Celebrating the local surf and skate community, Stadium aims to deliver a culturally creative point of view and an interesting twist on product, performance, innovation and design.

Have a look inside the space in our gallery.
