Kiks TYO will be kicking off their store collaboration series beginning of October. They got together with Limited Edt Singapore and with Capsule Toronto on a Yuko Ishida x Kiks TYO t-shirt. Each store added their own flavor to it. On the Limited Edt. t-shirt, Yuko Ishida is wearing the Limited Edt x New Balance sneaker that recently came out and on the Capsule t-shirt, Yuko Ishida is wearing a Capsule branded bikini.

Both the Kiks TYO x Yuko Ishida x Limited Edt and the Kiks TYO x Yuko Ishida x Capsule t-shirt will be released at the stores on October 3rd.

Royalefam has revealed its latest Fall/Winter 2008 collection called Dead Generals. The line symbolizes the death of an old method and the birth of a new one for the Singapore-based brand. Established 5 years ago by sneaker artist, Mark Ong (SBTG), Royalefam turns the page to a new chapter with what is their most inspired collection to date.
The Dead Generals Edition will consist of a series of custom sneakers, a full range of clothing that will include t-shirts, hoodies, cut & sews and some special pieces that will be unveiled in the coming weeks. The collection will also include a special series of skateboards that is a joint project with Preduce Skateboards out of Thailand.
The Royalefam Fall/Winter 2008 collection will be released this coming October and will be available in selected Royalefam stockists worldwide.

We present you the Akomplice Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The range features a nice array of summer tees featuring collaborations with Singapore’s Stabs (www.madebystabs.com) and Future Relic’s Kenyon Bajus (www.kenyonb.com). They also present a couple of fitted caps and sweaters.

Benny Gold was asked to create a 1 Year Anniversary t-shirt for Singapore store Black Chamber. The design plays with the words of both names. The oil rig is in the shape of a large number 1 to symbolize their first year in business.

Last week the Radical Advertising Exhibition (they also have an online exhibition with lots of works out of the exhibition – make sure not to miss that) opened its doors to the public. It will recreate spectacular ambient advertising campaigns in 3-D and introduce the visitor to the advertising world of Web2.0 and Youtube. The RADICAL ADVERTISING exhibition uses numerous examples to illustrate the history of shock advertising and employs the shortest-lived examples of the genre to bring visitors not only close to, but actually into pop-up stores and guerilla marketing campaigns.

The heart of the exhibition is a Comme des Garçons guerrilla store containing both retro products and the label’s most recent designs. The store will appear at the launch of the exhibition and disappear again when it ends. Although Comme des Garçons has already applied the guerilla store concept in a variety of cities (including Berlin, Singapore, Krakow, and Glasgow), this is the very first time it has used it in a museum. The store rebelliously carries to extremes the notion of the increasingly mercantile nature of museums. It will be surrounded by a wire fence: on one side of the fence, visitors to the store will look out through the wire mesh into the museum, while on the other side, visitors to the museum will catch glimpses of the glittering world of consumerism through the wire barrier. The exhibition will take place at the NRW Forum Duesseldorf from April 5th – August 16th.
A very interesting and exciting concept for sure. We totally see the Guerilla Concept by Comme des Garcons popping up more often in the future as part of a museum or an exhibition.

Artists Lazy and Darbotz worked on a custom Ubiq eL, something one does not come across too often. The end result is impressive. Darbotz worked on the drawings on the case as well as the inner sole screen print and Lazy worked on the carvings on the strap, which turned out to look similar to a laser graphic.

Levi’s Blue Europe collaborated with Singapore designers Phunk Studio on some t-shirts as part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The t-shirts come with over-sized black on white prints.

Something that seems to have become a trend in recent months in “streetwear”, Maiden Noir has done from the very beginning – concentrate on cuts and quality. The other day we presented you already some pieces out of their new collection.
Here you see now the rest of the collection. Nice shirts, denim, strong jackets and quality fleece make up the collection. Designs are never too loud, but also not boring. Since their entire production takes place in Japan, quality and details are at their highest standards.
