We give you a preview of what there is to come in October from the Converse 100th anniversary collection. Admittedly some of the best styles in our mind, so far. 
The Converse Camping Hi is coming in a nice duck boot looks. Brown canvas uppers, with nice dark brown leather details and plastic toe cap. These also come in black, but the brown ones are just so much better.
The Jack Purcell B-Generation is also looking great. It comes in two classic tartan plaid colorways – blue/green and red. An instant classic.
Last but not least comes the Tassel Hi, basically being an All Star Hi with a golf flap. It comes in off-white and browb.
Here we have no collaborations, no crazy colors, just solid nice creations.

We give you a preview of an upcoming Jack Purcell, which is being released as part of the Converse 100th Anniversary campaign. Inspired by the 2004 Jack Purcell Leopard Fur, this new version comes with a leopard print on the entire upper. Via Converse Japan.

Converse continues to dig deep into their archive for their 100th anniversary collection. In this case they re-issue the Fire Bird, first released in 1983. The classic basketball sneaker gets a makeover and will return in April in a colorful mix. Also the tongue comes with a glittery gold Converse tag, hinting the occasion.

After the successful release of the first Converse x Hiroshi Fujiwara Chuck Taylor Lo and Hi’s a couple of months ago, now comes the follow up with a red version. Once again the Japanese designer/DJ keeps it simple and smartly kept the sole white, made the toe cap red, matching the rest of the sneaker. Again the heel carries the Fragment Design logo as an embroidery. According to Complex, these will be hitting stores March 1rst.

Continuing their 100th anniversary celebrations, Converse released now the Weapon Youth Shin Hi. The basketball shoe comes in two colorways – white/blue and black/pink. The sneakers feature a double ankle strap and keep an overall vintage look.

The next shoe in the 100th anniversary artist series by Converse is about to drop. This time the brand got together with designer/artist Ryan Lombardi. A graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, his background is in graphic design, and graffiti. For this Chuck Taylor, Lombardi wanted to incorporate things that symbolized “Red” and “100” so he took design cues from Redwood Trees—trees that usually live to be hundreds of years old. A Jack Purcell by the artist will follow later on. This Chuck Taylor will drop this month at retailers. Via Complex.

Celebrating their 100th anniversary, Converse will be releasing 100 sneakers from December ‘07 until March ‘08. Converse Japan has released a website entirely dedicated to the occasion and now displays first products out of the collection. The Chuck Taylor, Jack Purcell, as well as the Chevron and Star sneakers all come in special colorways and materials in this first drop. Via Kix-Files.
Overall nothing too crazy so far. Special collaborations are still coming, which will be more interesting. Nevertheless, check out some of line-up already now after the jump.

Converse has a big year ahead, as they will celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2008. Starting the celebrations early, they present already the Converse Century Pack. The pack consists of three sneakers – Pro Leather, All Star Revolution and All Star. The sneakers come in varying tones and each come packaged in a nice vintage looking wooden box. Also the sneakers have got a vintage look to themselves with the uppers being made up of distressed leathers. Via Sneaker Freaker.

Expect the Converse Century pack to get into stores in very limited quantities as of mid November. Check out each sneaker after the jump.

Next year Converse celebrates their 100th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion the first in a line-up of collaborations will be with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design. We have shown some pictures of this collaboration before and now here some better pics via Urban Look.
The two parties worked on a Converse Chuck Taylor Lo and Hi, both featuring a black toe cap, black labels with the round ankle label being in leather and on the back heel a Fragment logo embroidery in white. As with most Fujiwara designs – small and smart little changes, always on point.
