As mentioned previously, April 1st marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martens iconic 1460 boot. To celebrate the occasion, Docs has produced limited run styles of both the 8-eye 1460 boot and the 3-eye 1461 shoe. Each model is offered in black or cherry red (colors synonymous with the brand) with a premium polished pebble leather upper and metallic gold trimming.

Handcrafted in the original UK factory in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, each pair is packaged in commemorative box, complete with a certificate of authenticity personally signed by the brand founders/owners. Available April 1st, 2010 at select retailers, with production limited to 1460 and 1461 pieces per color globally.

In celebration of their 50th Anniversary, Dr. Martens offers a selection of worn out 1460s. Creased sides, flexed toes, blasted soles, brushed leather and eyelets and a roughed up heel tab. The boots come in black, cherry red, white, green, navy and purple and will be available at Dr. Martens stores and Urban Outfitters US and UK globally from 1st, April 2010.
