If there’s two things we love it’s progression and quality. New York City’s 3Sixteen has gone from strength to strength recently, while Portland, Oregon-based Tanner has been steadily producing high-quality made-in-USA goods. Working together with 3Sixteen is nothing new for the brand, but these tote bags bump things up a notch past small-leather-goods into something more substantial. Constructed from 10oz. waxed canvas with english bridle leather strap handles, the bags feature a lift-a-dot closure system and easy access front pouches. We just cannot emphasize enough how pleased we are with the development of New York label 3sixteen. They have grown from a small streetwear label into an up and coming menswear brand in less than 2 years and their Fall 2009 Collection is looking really good. Especially the outerwear has attracted our attention – double breasted coats and peacoats make up the key pieces of the collection, which is completed with a solid line-up of shirts and knitwear, as well as some stand-out accessories. The look is very coherent and just works.

Illustrator Richard Haines got together with New York’s 3sixteen for a series of works. Haines produced sketches for the 3sixteen street campaign, which has by now been plastered all over the Lower East Side. Once again the work is impressive and could not fit the 3sixteen brand any better.

Our brothers at Selectism paid a visit to the guys at 3sixteen who kindly gave them a preview of their collection of footwear for Spring 2010. “The line has clearly expanded to include a variety of new models – all of which are being produced by the handmade shoemakers at Quoddy. The Grizzly boot is drawing some attention at the moment with its crepe rubber sole.” Incredible work by the NYC collective, and something to look forward to come Spring.

3sixteen continues to work with Quoddy Trail and they present the collaboration peanut grizzly Deck Chukka. The custom silhouette comes in premium brown leather, which has been flipped inside out. The handmade in Main shoes feature a full leather vamp, antique brass eyelets, and a handsewn lock-stitched tip and kicker. The shoes can now be ordered from the 3sixteen online store.

Our friends from 3sixteen present – A Day With 3sixteen. Director Hilton Carter, known for his superb music videos, has followed the young casual brand from New York city for one day. One gets an interesting insight into the lives of the designers of 3sixteen, keeping their days busy with designing, producing photoshoots and much more. Check it out!

3sixteen continues to make the right moves. After introducing quality denim into their collection, the New York label is increasingly going into accessories. In their recent Fall 2009 video teaser we have seen some first tote bags and today we got the news on their latest collaboration with Tanner Goods. Tanner is producing the thick leather logo patches on all 3sixteen denim and now they also got together to produce some leather bracelets – two styles, each coming in two colorways. The bracelets feature a subtle embossed logo. The bracelets are now available at Selfedge.

Once again 3sixteen delivers a great video giving you a background perspective on their Fall 2009 Photoshoot. Aside from first looks of the new collection, we also get a teaser of their upcoming tote bags, which look very interesting to say the least. Via Selectism.

3sixteen has gone through quite some change these past seasons and moved from being a rather classic streetwear brand to a street inspired menswear brand, at least that is the best way to describe it in our mind.

Here we have a look at their new Spring 2009 outerwear. They offer the new double breasted jacket – it comes in khaki canvas and features a nice striped lining. They also offer once again the Monson jacket, which comes this season in black and in khaki.

Ever since 3sixteen set the new direction of their brand, they are sticking to it and with every season they are giving their brand more identity. Last season their denim impressed us very much, featuring some great details and an overall good quality. We already know what our favorite item next season will be – the new mid boat shoes produced by Quoddy for 3sixteen.

“Based in Passamaquoddy, ME, Quoddy was founded by Kevin and Kirsten Shorey (third generation shoemakers), Quoddy Trail employs expert sewers who craft each shoe by hand from start to finish. The shoes are made of 100% Chromexcel leather and are fully pigskin-lined for comfort – they also feature a full leather vamp, nickel eyelets, and a handsewn lock-stitched tip and kicker.” Via Selectism.

The shoe comes in two colorways, black and navy, and will be released in August 2009.
