Today MTV launched 5 new idents in collaboration with 55DSL. The characters are based on the 5 senses and have been created by 5 artsits – Alex Trochut, iLoveDust, James Roper, Tei, Yué Wu and Zeloot. Each designer created a t-shirt design based on one sense and was then paired with a motion graphics studio to create a 30 second spot based on the character.

Our friends from MADE Berlin present their latest episode of their Visions of Visionaries video interview series. This time they sat down with Andrea Rosso, the son of Diesel founder Renzo Rosso, and head of 55DSL. As usual MADE manages to give an interesting and personal insight into somebody’s life. The next brand to get into the World Cup fever is 55DSL. Inspired by the world’s top footballing countries, their collection in collaboration with Panini comprises 10 t-shirts created in collaboration with 10 different international artists and 1 celebrative tee designed by the 55DSL creative team. The tees are available now from London’s 55DSL store on Newburgh Street and ASOS, as well as 55DSL stores worldwide.

After working earlier this year on an adidas Originals x 55DSL Nizza Hi, the two brands got together once again to collaborate this time around on a series of 5 t-shirts. The Experience Device Enhancer T-Shirt series was designed by Barcelona based VASAVA studio. The tees have been released today at adidas and 55DSL stores.

55DSL presents an interesting project for Fall/Winter 2009. 10.55 Magazine Series is a unique limited edition tee project in collaboration with six highly acclaimed international magazines.

They gave them the creative freedom to customize a 55DSL t-shirt by interpreting a cover of their magazine. Each t-shirt is produced in a limited number of a 1055 pieces worldwide and only available at authorized 55DSL dealers. Participating magazines include Lodown, Milk, WAD, Vapors, Spin and Nylon.

Continuing with Italian label 55DSL’s 15th anniversary, designer Turbokrapfen created a jacket in celebration of the masked Italian DJ duo the Bloody Beetroots. To accompany the collaboration, Mutado has created a video entitled “Heavy Printing Zoo” which features the song “Awesome” by the Bloody Beetroots featuring The Cool Kids. 55DSL got together with Dim Mak and Italian outdoor goods brand Ferrino to produce a tent. The tent features an all-over print created by Dim Mak. For your next festival tour the tent might be a good companion.

55DSL presents their latest collaboration with iconic Parisian brand K-Way. The K-Way brand was born one rainy day in Paris in 1965 with the creation of the windbreaker. Made of nylon and perfectly waterproof, the jacket was able to be folded away and tucked neatly into the pocket.. the pac-a mac was born!

For Autumn/Winter 2008 K-Way worked with 55DSL to develop a co-branded version of their classic jacket in two stark colours, red and black. The jackets will be released in stores this week.

A new collaborative jewelry collection from 55DSL and Complete Technique will see its official launch this week. On Friday, October 3, get down to the NYC 55DSL store to celebrate. The event will feature a special edition speaker pendent from the collection, and music from “Future Shock.” If that doesn’t entice, there is also an open bar. The party pops off from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

55DSL announces a new collaboration with SPACE INVADERS to celebrate its 30^th anniversary this year. The collaboration activity includes the release of the 55DSL edition of SPACE INVADERS WORLD WAR (tentative name) a new online game, and 55DSL x SPACE INVADER a collaboration t-shirt. 

The brand new shooting game made for PCs can be played by anybody from around the world. Using just the mouse, players can enjoy competing against players from other countries, what makes this game special is that players are not only fighting against the SPACE INVADERS, but players can also enjoy the thrill of teaming up with his or her peers as well as sharing tactics with different countries.
This special 55DSL online version of the game was created by the 55DSL design team located in Italy with a exclusive design and will be distributed from March 2008.
A limited edition t-shirt has also been designed by the 55DSL design team in Italy for the collaboration with SPACE INVADERS and will be sold at select number of stores worldwide.
