574 Clips is a collection constructed from leftover materials salvaged from New Balance’s factory in Lawrence, MA. The 574 has been re-engineered, removing unnecessary foams in the tongue and collar to reduce heat and bulk. It also features a PU insert for comfort and a microdenier lining taken from the 993 to create a luxurious feel. Overall the shoe comes in four colorways: grey/blue, grey/green, grey/orange and grey/burgundy. Limited to 120 pairs per color.

The collection name, 574 Clips also has a second meaning: a launch campaign will be centered around 574Clips.com, a website that features 480 video clips (1 for each shoe) created to convey each of the shoes’ unique experience before reaching the consumer. To compliment the short films, an individually numbered Polaroid photo has been taken of the shoe’s experience and placed in the corresponding shoe box.

Since its inception, the 574 has been one of New Balance’s most iconic silhouettes. From this day forward, the 574 will be stocked only by a select group of retailers, chosen for their specialized knowledge and commitment to quality. Known as 574 LOCATION retailers, each storefront will be entitled to display a 574 LOCATION insignia and receive limited edition product. And, most importantly, will be New Balance’s exclusive partners in retailing the 574.

The 574 collection for Fall will be offered in four classic colorways with a mix of greys, blacks, and navys. Several additional colorways will 
be introduced in limited quantities every two months through December, beginning with Burgundy and Brown for July 2009.

Not for the first time New Balance and Almond get together. This time, as part of the 20th anniversary of the 574, Almond chose to give the sneaker a felt upper and created a series of velcro patches that can be applied on the upper. The rest of the sneaker comes in premium black leather and it also features a sprinkled mid sole.

The New Balance x Almond M574J is now available at Mita.

The latest New Balance 574 comes inspired by luxury SUV Hummer. The upper is made up of white patent leather and a special mesh material, mostly featured on the toe box. The heel got a pixelated camouflage pattern, which can also be found on the tongue tag, and further red details make for a nice contrast.
The New Balance M574M HW "Hummer Concept" will be released at Atmos in September.

For us certainly one of the most interesting packs to come from New Balance this season, is the Urban Outdoor Collection, which consists of a H574J and a M575J. 
The 574 comes in a mid version, reminding us of a hiking boot. Both sneakers feature a mix of nubuck leather and suede on the upper. Details include leather lacing, as well as a nice speckled mid sole.

Overall a very solid pack, perfect for the colder months that lie ahead of us.

Once again New Balance joins forces with Almond. Previously we have already seen several collaboration sneakers between the two brands. This time it gets a little more interesting though.
The New Balance x Almond 574 comes in all black with most of the upper covered in velcro. Unlike with the New Balance x The Hideout collaboration, where only the New Balance logo could be interchanged, you can apply patches all over the sneaker in this case.
Along with the 574 sneaker, they also made two technical "Ninja" rain jackets, coming in a shiny black and matt black, both featuring subtle logo applications and technical materials. Via Colorfarm.

We present you the New Balance Horse Hair Pack. The pack consists of New Balance 574’s and 575’s, both coming with premium leather, horse hair and matching leather laces. Overall the pack looks very solid and the horse hair gives it a more premium look, without going over the top. We also like how they kept it tonal on this one. Via Streething.

We present you the new New Balance 574 "Raggae". It’s certainly a theme that we do not see the first time on a sneaker and probably also not the last. What we like in the New Balance execution is the consequence. The upper comes in a mix of black nubuck and patent leather. The rasta colors appear on the several levels of the sole, which we have not seen before, and even the stitching and the tongue logo come in matching colors. To round it off, they used some 3M on the logo and the back heel.

Due to come out in June is the new New Balance 574 "Graffiti" pack. It consists of two 574’s. They both feature a multitude of colors and materials on the upper. One comes in a brown/pink colorway, the other one in a grey/blue colorway. Details include bold stitching on the toe box as well as patent leather around the ankle and on the heel. A large "New Balance" graffiti font goes over the heel.

We present you an interesting new New Balance M574 pack that we labeled “Native Woven” pack. It consists of two 574’s, a native brown and native green colorway. Both feature woven uppers in suede and nice native stitching details. In general they have done a nice job on the stitching on this pack, highlighting the message.
