When New Balance was always known for the “less is more” approach, they have this year released many sneakers and packs that went against those principle. For Spring 2008 they seem to return to their more classic approach and present the Canvas Pack. Here we present you the purple 576 that is part of the pack. A nice mix of canvas and suede accents make this a solid sneaker. Other colors will follow. Pic via Sneaker Freaker.

Something interesting from New Balance just dropped and definitely something that fits the brand better than any other. New Balance released the 576 Waxed. At first the sneaker looks pretty simple and basic, but in fact the sneaker features a full waxed cotton upper, just like the iconic Barbour jackets. The check lining is a good finish and all together it makes a real English sneaker, that is perfect for the Fall season, especially in the UK. Now available at End.

New Balance just launched as part of their Fall 2007 collection the Tweed Pack. The pack consists of two M574’s and a M576.
The M574’s come in a black/gold colorway mixed with blue tweed. The gold accents have a nice effect on the sneaker. The other M574 comes in a beige colorway, brown accents and lining and red/brown tweed. Our favorite in the pack has to be the M576, which comes in forest green, brown accents and a tweed lining – exactly how you would imagine a fall sneaker.

10 years ago Simon Woodruffe starte Yo!Sushi, which became a huge success. His latest venture is Yotel, a new hotel concept, based on the Japanese capsule idea, to be situated at airports worldwide.
The hotels have a calm design and offer everything a big hotel does, only on a compact scale. The entrepreneur wanted his staff to look at stylish and cutting edge as their working environment. Part of the hotels staff uniform became this new New Balance 576.
New Balance does not do collaborations, mostly you would see shoes made specifically for stores. The shoe was matched the rest of the hotel staff uniform – navy blue, purple and cream, finished off with a Yotel branded lace lock.
The New Balance x Yotel sneaker is not released to the general public and you can only get your hands on it if you actually work for Yotel. It will be interesting to see what ways sneaker collectors will find to get their hands on these.
