After numerous teasers and early leaks, we can finally show you the full collaboration collection of New Balance and snowboard brand 686. The two brands worked on sneakers, boots, outerwear, t-shirts and New Era caps. All pieces feature both brand’s logos. They worked on the New Balance 580 sneaker, which comes in two colorways. They also present the Times NB 580 snowboard boot. Overall 686 once again presents a very comprehensive and coherent offering, which is at the same time something completel new for both brands.

Our friends at Rad Collector had a peek at 686’s collaborative effort with KR3W. “Taking KR3W style and tweaking it for on mountain performance, the collection features two hoodie shells, an M-65 coat, snowboard pants, and a denim “K-Slim” pant that features a new proprietary stretch cotton-poly denim that looks and feels like denim but will keep you warm and dry all day.” Hitting top 686 retailers this month.

New Balance gets together with 686 next season to present their first snowboard collection. Not only have they worked on four New Balance sneakers, but also on two snowboard boots and on a couple of apparel pieces. The boots feature all the classic New Balance design elements.

The New Balance x 686 Snowboarding Collection will release towards the end of the year. Detailed images of all pieces and more detailed information on this interesting collaboration over at Radcollector.

Over the years we have seen many interesting projects from snowboard outerwear brand 686. For their Autumn/Winter 2008/09 season they once again present two collaborative projects, this time with Levi’s and Famous Stars And Straps.
Together with Famous Starts And Straps, 686 produced a full winter outerwear collection, consisting of beanies, New Era caps, hoodies, jackets and pants. The most prominent piece in the collection features a visual collage history of Famous.
The collaboration with Levi’s is more out thing, as it is more subtle and perfectly fuses the technological know-how of 686 and the heritage design of Levi’s, using breathable materials as well as Levi’s rivets and stitching details on all pieces. Also several pieces use actual Levi’s denim.

For the past 15 years, 686 has provided progressive technical apparel and outerwear showcasing Los Angeles and mountain-based history.  It all comes full circle with the Fall/Winter 2007/2008 Crystal Collection. Some outerwear highlights feature the exclusive limited Times collaboration with New Era, the ACC Article Jacket with a tweed weave aesthetic, the After-Ride Leather Hybrid Down Jacket, and the weather resistant Herbal Military Jacket.
On the street side of things, the Yukon flannel knit that has UPF and moisture wicking properties, the Nord slim 5-pocket jean made from Japanese selvedged denim, and the one and only patented limited 14k gold Toolbelt that features fully waterproof leather and functional tools and wrenches.

To help celebrate the 15^th Crystal Anniversary, 686 teamed up with New Era to create a collection of products that combine street style and technical function for something truly unique.  The limited edition line of outerwear features the first waterproof and breathable 59FIFTY cap that conveniently attaches to the hood of the jackets.
Taking style cues from both current and historical urban influences, the TIMES collection features an exclusive 686 vintage baseball woven jacquard and printed fabrications, along with custom New Era 59FIFTY accented trims and linings.  The coordinating pants, with their custom New Era key chain accessory, complete the ensemble for any true rider and tastemaker.
