In the 70&#8217;s, Warrior basketball sneakers were a much sought after status symbol in China. After they became no longer objects of desire. Now a young Chinese-born graphic design student of Helsinki decided first to photograph those who, in China, still wear them (elder and poor villagers doing physical labour) and then to gather all pictures and publish them in a book, released in limited edition. </p>
<p>The book will be sold in a special packaging along with a pair of original Warrior sneakers. Shumeng Ye tries to redefine the idea of the label &#8220;Made in China&#8221;.<br />
