New Balance cooked up a special customized version of the U.S. manufactured 993 in celebration of the upcoming Boston Marathon weekend. Featured in colors inspired by the race such as black suede with lime contrast stitching for men and lake blue stitching for women, the shoe pays tribute to Boston with the words “RUN BOS” on the heels and a “NBoston” logo on the tongue. Limited to 72 pairs (36 women’s and 36 men’s), the Boston 993 will be sold exclusively at the Tannery beginning Friday, April 16th.
